Thinking of Joining?

We welcome new members and if you would like to join then please email the secretary (Jen Jamieson) or phone the treasurer (David Parkin 07974 969557).  We will send you a welcome pack and arrange to meet you at either of the allotments to show you around and talk about what you would like to do.  Prospective members are also very welcome just to come along to any regular working session or social event.  See the Home page Calendar for current details.

We have members young and old and we welcome people of all abilities and experience. Sharing knowledge and ideas makes us an interesting and robust group.  We have a high raised bed for people who are less able and who may find it difficult to bend over low ground beds.  If you have any special growing needs we would like to cater for you so please let us know.

We have two types of members:

1)  Full Members.  Full members take an active part in the growing and maintenance activities of the allotments and share the produce. The annual membership fee is £20.

2)  Associate Members.  Associate Members support our group in various ways but do not wish to share in the produce and generally spend less time at the allotment.  Our Associates make a valuable contribution to the allotment and really help to make it viable and we often see them at our celebrations or when there is a work day planned or larger project to do.  The annual membership fee is £10.

The annual membership fee covers our rental and public liability insurance obligations. Any remaining funds are available to reimburse members for moneys spent on seeds/plants or other materials required for the allotment. Please check with David Parkin before any significant expenditure, if you expect it to be reimbursed, as this is a limited fund.
